Steve Smith ranks among the top chefs worldwide, having held a Michelin star for ten years from the age of just 24; and presently holding four AA rosettes. Whist working in Melbourne, Smith also held the prestigious ‘American Express Australian Restaurant of the Year’ title.

Stephen brings a wealth of international experience to Bohemia, having worked under legendary Chef Jean-Christophe Novelli followed by time at the two Michelin star Heathcote’s Restaurant with Paul Heathcote, before moving on to becoming a Michelin-starred head chef in his own right at Gordleton Mill in Hampshire.

After moving to Australia as head Chef of Le Restaurant his cooking was influenced by lighter styles and flavours and here he achieved two ‘Hats’ – the Australian equivalent to a Michelin star, and was further recognized by winning Australian Restaurant of the Year.

Smith’s individual style has made its mark with food critics who have raved:

“I dreamed about the food when I went to bed. It was a fairy-tale dinner,
and Steve Smith is a magician.”
