The NatWest Jersey Open Table Tennis Tournament return in 2016 for the 10th year. This prestigious competition has attracted top players from around the world over the last 9 years including Olympians and Paralympians. 2016 will be even bigger and better. With our local stars testing themselves against each other as well as the visiting competition, the fight for the title will be hotter than ever.
Barclays Jersey Boat Show 2016 30/04/2016 – 02/05/2016
The three-day show will once again take place in and around St Helier Marina and nearby Weighbridge Place, last year saw records numbers, despite the varied weather conditions, with over 30,000 people attending over the Band Holiday Weekend. The programme of activities is still at the planning stages but will once again include opportunities for the public to step aboard a number of yachts and watercraft berthed in St Helier Marina while an array of lifestyle and marine accessories exhibitors, local artisans, food and refreshment stalls will be lined up along the adjacent quaysides. There will also be a full on stage entertainment programme and activities specifically for children. The Royal Navy has been a regular participant at the annual show since it first started and 2016 will be no exception; strengthening the close relationship it enjoys with the Island. Liberation Ceremony Celebrations 09/05/2016
Part of the C I Heritage Festival – On Liberation Day dignitaries take part in a Service of Thanksgiving and Commemoration. There will be a re-enactment of the act of liberation, the arrival of the Liberating Forces and the successive flying of flags, a uniformed march-past, drive-past by old civilian and military motor vehicles.
Jersey International Motoring Festival 02/06/2016 – 05/06/2016
Steep winding hills and straights beside the long beaches provide the perfect combination for a motoring festival, and Jersey has it all. The festival is the largest annual motoring event in the Channel Islands, with competitive sprint and hill climbs for classic & vintage cars and motorcycles, a touring event for visitors and locals alike visiting various places of interest and stopping for refreshments around the island, a large static motor show, motor and ancillary trade stands and exhibits from Jersey motoring clubs.
Acorn Jersey Open – European Senior Tour 08/06/2016 – 11/06/2016
The famous Jersey Open will return to La Moye Golf Club from 8 – 11 June 2016, sponsored by Acorn Finance. This historic golf event will bring 54 of the top golfers from the European Senior Tour to play in a unique competition format, where they will be joined by 54 Amateur players who will partner them for 36 holes. All 54 Amateur players will play on all three days. The Professionals will be competing for a prize fund of £200,000. The event is free to view for all golf fans and we look forward to welcoming you to La Moye Golf Club for one of Jersey’s premier sporting events.
Dance World Cup 25/06/2016 – 02/07/2016
The Dance World Cup will see over 18,000 competitors from 38 countries competing at their country qualifiers. This year Jersey will be hosting the World Finals. This is the greatest all-genre dance competition on the planet for children and young adults around the world. Jersey will be expecting around 4,000 competitors. Public tickets will be available for both The Opera House and Fort Regent.
2016 European Touch Rugby Championships 07/07/2016 – 10/07/2016
The 2016 European Touch Championships will be hosted by Jersey, over the period 7th – 10th July 2016. Touch started in Australia in the early 1960s as a social game and a training and warm-up technique for rugby league. The first official Touch Tournament was held in Sydney in 1968 and then spread to New Zealand. From there the game has expanded rapidly, especially in the South Pacific and now all around the world and especially in Europe. The Federation of International Touch -F.I.T., founded in 1985, includes more than 50 members. The 2016 event in Jersey will be held at Les Quennevais Sports Complex.
Legend in the Park (Big Gig in the Park) 15/07/2016

Jersey Offshore Powerboat Festival 06/08/2016 – 07/08/2016
Offshore powerboat racing will return to Jersey this summer – over two decades since the last visit. The glamour of the fast craft racing will return to St Aubin’s Bay in August when racers from across Europe are expected to ride the waves in front of an enthusiastic audience.

The Moonlight Carnival is an amazing evening parade of the flower covered floats that are festooned with thousands of illuminated lights to give a truly magical appearance and a fitting finale to the Battle of Flowers floral extravaganza.

Jersey International Air Display 08/09/2016
The skies above Jersey have enjoyed an annual air display for over 62 years, delighting and attracting many tens of thousands of local residents and visitors to enjoy one of the most eagerly anticipated events in Jersey’s summer programme of activities. Coupled with the fact that it is arguably one of the finest free air shows in Europe, it is a must see event.
Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon 02/10/2016
The Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon is an established niche marathon. The race, which is split into three categories, Marathon, Relay Race and 3K Fun Run, attracted over 2,500 entrants in 2015 with over 60% of marathon runners coming from off the Island. With a professional yet friendly atmosphere the event welcomes a variety of runner types, elite athletes compete for prize money and times, while corporate teams vie for the prestige of winning the trophy and many others compete to do something truly amazing for the benefit of others.
