Barclays Jersey Boat Show 2018

The Barclays Jersey Boat Show is the largest free-entry event in the Channel Islands and gets the boating season off to a great start. The 3-day show takes place in and around St. Helier Marina and adjacent Weighbridge Place. Featuring power and sail, side by side, it also offers a variety of Jersey lifestyle features as well as activities both on and off the water, food, entertainment on the main stage, free access to the pontoons and visiting Royal Navy vessels. Liberation Day Celebrations

The Channel Islands were the only part of Britain to be occupied by German forces. The five-year occupation came to an end on 9 May 1945. Liberation Day, an event still celebrated in Jersey with an annual Bank Holiday, will once again bring that historic time to life with events taking place around Liberation Square, the Royal Square and the Weighbridge. On Liberation Day dignitaries take part in a Service of Thanksgiving and Commemoration. Why not join in the celebrations?

Jersey International Motoring Festival

The Jersey International Motoring Festival is the largest annual motoring event in the Channel Islands, which includes competitive sprints and hill-climbs for classic & vintage cars and motorcycles. There is a full programme of events for touring cars and motorcycles and the largest static motor show in the Channel Islands featuring motor and ancillary trade stands and exhibits from all Jersey motoring clubs.

Sure Legends in the Park & Sure Big Gig in the Park

The Sure Big Gig weekend is made up of Sure Legends in the Park and Sure Big Gig in the Park, a community spirited, family focused music event set over two days. Every penny raised at the Sure Big Gig weekend goes toward Helping Jersey Charities, who distribute funds to local children’s charities. Sure Legends in the Park 2018 will be on Friday 13th July 2018 and Sure Big Gig in the Park will be Saturday 14th July 2018.

Battle of Flowers Carnival

First staged in 1902 in celebration of a Royal Coronation, the Jersey Battle of Flowers has since grown over the past century and more to become one of the largest floral carnivals in Europe and without doubt a major highlight in Jersey’s varied summer calendar of festivals and events. With each local parish as well as other community groups competing for awards on the day, the atmosphere is always fun with a competitive twist.

Battle of Flowers Moonlight Carnival

The Moonlight Parade is an amazing evening parade. The floats will be the same as those participating on the Thursday Day Parade but will be lit up with tiny fairy lights. The atmosphere is carnival and the spectators and participants are encouraged to join in the fun. The evening concludes with a fantastic fireworks display over St. Aubin’s Bay.

Jersey International Air Display

The skies above Jersey have enjoyed an annual air display for over 62 years, delighting and attracting many tens of thousands of local residents and visitors to enjoy one of the most eagerly anticipated events in Jersey’s summer programme of activities. Coupled with the fact that it is also arguably one of the finest free air shows in Europe. 2018 will once again enable locals and visitors to get up close and personal with both aircraft and pilots at the Jersey Airport static display.

Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon

The Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon is an established niche marathon, with breathtaking views and aims to raise valuable funds for two charities; Seeing is Believing and TBC. The race, is split into three categories, Marathon, Relay Race and 3K Fun Run. The event attracted over 2,500 entrants in 2017 alone with over 60% of marathon runners coming from off the island. The marathon has a professional yet friendly atmosphere and welcomes a variety of runner types.
