Jersey exports over 700 tons of oysters a year, 80% exported to France. Grouville Bay on the east coast of Jersey has perfect tidal conditions, that rise and fall twice in 24 hours by up to 40 ft, combined with crystal clear water, create a natural filtering effect ideal for cultivating oysters.
